You know the meme is supposed to be sarcastic, right? No one actually believes that the US is there to make the countries democratic because every country they’ve been in in the Middle East has not become a democracy and has ended up with a pro US government that the US uses to take all the oil. Democracy is the best system. It’s just that the US is not actually trying to implement it in the Middle East. The chaos that occurs after an attempt at democracy seems to be always supported by the US. In Egypt, the people elected a president after the revolution then a military coup happened and a dictator took his place only to be recognized as the leader of the country by the US and its allies hours later. If the US really liked democracy, they wouldn’t be selling weapons to Egypt right now and allowing the French to sell weapons to Egypt. They would have put sanctions against Egypt until the democracy was restored. Wake up man.
