Im similar to you. Im half Indo-Trinidadian/Indian-Punjabi but I prefer my Indo-Caribbean side more. They’re more laid back, less judgy and cooler to be around. Also confident in their skin.

Indians are often nasty af to Indo-Caribbeans especially Guyanese. Trinidadians get less hate but its probably because they’re less keen on mingling with Indians and mostly stay away. Guyanese are way more into Indians and they get hate. Imagine that huh. I live in the GTA and I see this shit playing out all the time in real life and also on social media. Saw this just last night on a desi ig page. Some of the vitriol I see spewing sometimes is insane. Like how tf do you leave India or born in Canada and still carry on with that backwards mentality despising people for no reason other than viewing them as lower caste? That shit doesnt matter out of Desi circles. Other races do not care what caste you were or where in India you are from. Actually they can barely tell different Indians apart. Indians/ Pakistanis use the term “coolie” to try mocking & talk down on Indo-Caribbeans. These are same people that start crying when white people are being mean to them. Its pisses me off but its also jokes. I dont think Fijians get as much hate as Indo-Caribbeans though.
