So you're gonna get an 03xx contract. So no specific guarantee. When you get to SOI all of the 03s are gonna train together for the first maybe 3 weeks before the weapons guys split off. If you are interested in one of the weapons MOSs the instructors are prob gonna be the 4th platoon guys during your first 3 weeks so I would find out from one of your instructors if you could go ask a few questions because ultimately those instructors are gonna take who they want. I was an 0351 and started in 4th platoon so it was easy for me to get it. I just took the math quiz and that was that. I'm pretty sure they go around to all the platoons prior to break up and see who is interested however.... with that being said if what you would like is strait up 0311 then chances are that's what you'll be. Platoons for us where broken down alphabetically and I dont see why they would have reinvented that so if your name starts with anything before s or t you're prob gonna be in one of the non weapons platoons anyways.
