I'm 25, both mom and dad were marines and I'm headed for parris island oct 25th. I havent laughed along side these naive poolee's, nor have I stated that I have any excitement to my arrival on paris island. The shit they're laughing about ain't gonna be so funny here soon. I know what I'm getting myself into and there is nothing to be excited about... oh the disappointment is gonna be satisfying to see when reality of what they stepped into isnt at all exciting. Lol poor fellas dont go in with the mindset of excitement, dont crack a smile... become like a brick in the wall and do what your told in the order your told to do it. Physical part is easy. Mind games are what's gonna break the young guys and if you catch yourself thinking is he serious right now this is got to be a joke.. just stop thinking while your ahead and continue whatever it is that's for the di's amusement.. the more you think to yourself, the harder its gonna be. leave those opinions and feelings at the hotel before you hop on the bus. Your job is to be a marine, become like a machine, delete your emotions from your identity and accept what you chose with integrity if not, go home. Dont matter if you like it or not.
