Does anyone else think that the last of us HBO series should be about another survivor other than Joel and Ellie?

I do not want it any other way.
Games have been getting more cinematic, but film and games are still vastly different media that ask for very different ways of telling stories.
So I'm quite certain the HBO show will feel significantly different from the game, no matter how well you know it.
Different case, but I've never heard Lord of the Rings book fans being bored of the films because they cover stuff that was already in the books you know.
It may have the same overarching story, but the details are going to make it feel unique, I'm sure.
I've also read that they're changing stuff from the game, as well as adding stuff, to make it work for TV.

I am very excited to see more of Tess and Bill. Tess and Bill were very memorable for me, even though they're not in the game for that long, but I feel like a show like this can give them more time, make them feel like main characters.

Joel and Ellie are some of the best and most realistic game characters I have ever experienced, so I think they will translate beautifully to long-form drama.
Just some of the emotions they go through performed by flesh and blood humans captured on camera could be amazing and totally different??

When the main story is told, however, I can definitely see them making a HBO TLOU spinoff set in the same universe, but we'll probably have to wait for quite a bit to see a whole new set of characters. But it's a universe with a lot of potential beyond Joel and Ellie.
