I think if a college in America is going to provide financial aid, American students should have priority. NYU does give aid to internationals just like all schools. I heard it tends to be full ride or no aid.

The financial aid info states - "For students who file on time, NYU meets the full demonstrated need of admitted students as determined by your expected family contribution from information that you provide on the CSS Profile."

The college determines how much your family should be able to contribute and it's based on that and can include loans (not all financial aid packages are free money, loans account for a lot of financial aid and must be repaid).
