so, like a year ago, mods were contacted by reddit admin saying that the sub was reported for brigading in other subreddits by promoting superstonk and arguing with other subs members.

we in the sub were skeptical because we had seen little evidence of this. regardless, we agreed on a sub rule that direct linking to other subreddits was not allowed in order to prevent a one click link between superstonk and external posts or comments that could spark an influx of bad actors or legitimately argumentative apes. so we took the preventative action and so far it appears to be sufficient to reddit admin.

when someone self posts their comment they made in another sub promoting this subreddit, they establish a quick link to their comment history and then to the subreddit directly. therefore the possibly of brigading exists, and should be reported to the mods. i think it’s a good rule.

however for me personally, if i see a reasonable discussion about GME or reasonable mention of the subreddit by chance, organically, in other subs, i’ll upvote it for visibility. alternately, if i see something cringey or argumentative by chance, i’ll downvote it.

if people are open to the subreddit and to the stock, that’s fine. they’ll pursue their curiosity if they choose
