You don't have to go to all your meetings or respond to every endless message from your manager.

She’s right of course. You don’t have to go to all of their games. I go to their games because I love my children and they are my world and every moment I spend with them is a blessing.

And guess what? They love me going to their games. We love spending time together because we’re a family.

Work is just a thing I do so that I can provide my kids with the things we need. It’s a means to an end. I can’t imagine anyone finding any real happiness or joy placing something as fleeting and trivial as amassing as money money as possible at the center of their lives.

But hey, Maybe the other parents will cheer her kids on, or maybe she pays someone too.
