I moved here for my dream job from south Florida. Dating is definitely more difficult here. I’m a 25 year old lady, by the way. Not Mormon.

One of my old guy friends is moving here to date me. The dating scene has literally been so bad for me that I am importing a boyfriend from out of state. No sugarcoating that. (Im really excited though because I do genuinely think we’ll end up married)

BUT I love it here. And honestly I’m sure if my friend weren’t coming here or we didn’t have a future and I looked harder or gave it more time I’d find someone great. But a lot of people are Mormon and get married young, or were Mormon and get divorced young (an ex-wife and children aren’t something I’m interested in) or are kind of seasonal ski bum types who will eventually move on from here. And that is frustrating to me. So it isn’t hopeless, but depending on where you’re coming from and what your religious beliefs are, you might end up feeling like the pool is smaller and harder to navigate
