Everything I write now that's supposed to be present-day feels like a period piece from the "time before coronavirus."

I agree, it feels a little strange. Thankfully, you'll be able to revise and make any needed changes.

Weird side tangent here, I had a script I was working on that takes place around 70 years in the future from now. Started it a while before the corona virus, but had kind of seeded this idea that things get worse instead of getting better. Economic collapse, or something along those lines.

And now people are saying if we don't open the economy again soon there will be economic collapse, and I've recently been reading about possible food shortages incoming. So... I was speculating, hoping this sort of negative view of things would just be fiction, but now it feels all too real.
