I do agree that this unfortunately does seem to take a lot of women by surprise - I have noticed this in my own circles in my age group. I think this speaks to how woefully inadequate sexual education is, which unfortunately is often cut/banned/demonised by the right who seem to forget that this covers a lot of important things regarding reproductive health other than practising (clutch pearls) safe sex, pronouns and the existence of same sex couples. I’ll never not be frustrated by the muppets who are just plain bullheaded on keeping the future generations as ignorant as they are because of their warped sense of something as stupid and intangible as sexual purity as it has many social knock on effects that they’re blind to considering.

I don’t think the left is to blame here in this instance as this is just another symptom of a bigger issue.
