The "dX Tower"

This is a really quick write up for how the dX Tower could be used in a system-

dX Tower

A skill based RPG System that uses a dice tower with a large base similar to the game "Tumblin Dice" that has multipliers that the dice will rest on after being dropped through the tower. The dX Tower is the core resolution mechanic used. The game uses a point buy system for character creation by allowing each player to purchase the type of dice they wish to use on their character. A player can purchase up to four dice and use them for the following attributes-

Combat-

Skills 10 Points per Rank: Hand to Hand, Melee Weapons, Ranged Weapons, Improvised Weapons

Magic-

Skills 12 Points per Rank: Arcane, Divine, Nature, Supernatural, Psionic

Social Skills-

Skills 8 Points per Rank: Intimidation, Persuasion, Charm, Investigation, Diplomacy, Empathy

Knowledge-

Skills 11 Points per Rank: History, Nature, Politics, Finance, Technology, Underworld, Engineering, Geography, Lore, Arcana, Religion, Nobility, Academics

Physical Skills-

Skills 9 Points per Rank: Durability, Agility, Speed, Dexterity, Coordination, Acrobatics, Strength, Flexibility, Swimming, Climbing, Animal Riding, Performance

The purchased dice for each attribute will be the dice rolled when a skill is used for a resolution. The result of the dice roll will be added to the rank in the associated skill.

The dice available are-

1d4 - 40 points 2d4 - 70 points 1d6 - 60 points 2d6 - 110 points 1d8 - 80 points 2d8 - 150 points 1d10 - 100 points 2d10 - 190 points 1d12 - 120 points 2d12 - 230 points 1d20 - 200 points 2d20 - 390 points 1d100 - 1000 points 2d100 - 1900 points
