The way that XR operates is as distinct chapters. There is no central authority that runs the show, local groups band together and call themselves part of XR. The main group can endorse what they're saying, or distance themselves from it, but they don't have control.

I am aware. And the right thing to do would be to acknowledge that it came from a group within XR's ranks, point out that it's not in line with XR's principles and lay out some kind of action plan to try and avoid it happening again. All I've seen is saying it's not in line with XR's principles as if that's not an XR problem if local chapters are going around not sticking to the principles.
