Despite the massive Western propaganda war Russia is winning friends in the Middle East while the Americans flounder with their flip flop foreign policy.

I think it may already be as bad as you describe, or worse. Why, earlier this week Erdogan & Putin reached an agreement in principle to build a natural gas pipeline across Turkey, something NATO has been working to prevent from happening. I don't think Turkey's long for NATO.

For the past 15 years the US has based its foreign policy on the PNAC plan. Over the next century the world will be running out of oil. More & more wars will be fought over oil. So why wait? The US is the world's only superpower. Better to fight those wars now while the US has the advantage. Hence 6 countries in 5 years. The US is purposely creating turmoil & attempting to balkanize the Middle East to ensure no one party gains control of most or all of the oil.

Everyone knows exactly what the US is doing. And it's really, really dangerous. Every other country has a long-term survival strategies of its own, and very few of those plans include a world in which a single superpower controls all of the oil. It's in everyone else's best interests to band together & kill the bully.
