You are mentioning defense which is totally different. I never said that I was against self defense of any sort.

That's still killing people. But to say it, yes, every society kills people EVEN IF they aren't an active threat. A lot of the times it's unjust, look at a lot of the deaths in Guantanamo Bay (people who were never even tried for a crime, i.e. innocent in the eyes of the law), unarmed protesters in the states (especially in 2020), political opposition, unarmed prisoners in the middle of a nonviolent escape etc...

I live in the real world where nuance and context matter. You are however removing that context and applying it to national strategy and then making broad opinion statements as if they are fact. You are arguing in bad faith and pretending its some gotcha.

You were the one speaking in absolutes. I was pointing out the absurdity of it

And let's do more military and policing. I spent 8 years in the army as a military police officer. I deployed to Iraq to train Iraqi police and Afghanistan where I worked detentions at the DFIP.
