Elon Musk Tweets That He Isn't Quitting Trump's Advisory Council - He wants to help the president make humans a "multi-planet civilization."

I think the most intense folks - whether they're Republicans or Democrats - need to take it down 11 notches. Considerable issues are being brought up, that's for sure, but social media and mainstream media (whether Republican or Democratically biased!) are amplifying the differences in opinion until Republicans are Nazis and the Democrats are Nazis. It's absurd and there's no room for dialogue anymore.

I think people would be better served to dig into the meat of Trump's Executive Orders, choice of senior staff, and legislation, and argue them instead. I think there's more than enough to go on there.

I'd personally be willing to accept that some of the... lack-of-grace during the immigration suspension and gaffs like "alternative facts" are growing pains and related to inexperience - these people are new in their jobs. But these things also freak people out, and the current administration does not seem to care too much about allaying people's feelings.

Some say that's a strength of Trumps administration - that feelings have no place in government. Well, I'd argue that feelings do have a place in the American system of government - a substantial part of every American's identity is their nationalism. I hope people on both sides can quell the rage, empathize with their perceived enemies, and come to an agreement that at the end of the day, people want to go home, be with their families, relax, and enjoy life.

And there are different ways to achieve that goal.
