Email today BEFORE 3 to have a say in teachers not returning to school until it is safe

None of your reply actually refutes my statement.

When police respond to DV calls, the violence has already happened. And it is happening more.

Free lunches and backpacks are helping but are not feeding as many kids as breakfast in schools would be. More kids are hungry now that would be less hungry with in-person school.

Objectively, you're 100% wrong about the tax-paid babysitting. If every family with a child in school had to teach and watch them because the taxes only paid for teaching materials, the economy would shut down or kids would not learn. Tax-paid babysitting is the second most important function of school besides the knowledge. Who in their right mind would establish a public school system that doesn't actually watch your kids for you?! The functions are inseparable.

If the kids can get schooling done at home without exposure to teachers or themselves I'm all for allowing teachers to stay home till they have a vaccine.

I agree, but there are some seriously at-risk kids right now and the solution needs to be that those that are able to stay home should and those that are in serious need, an in person classroom needs to be found that keeps teachers and students safe. Hybrid for all is not that solution.
