Employer pressuring me to release medical information

Our FMLA leave is handled through a third party and management isn’t supposed to ask us why it’s being used. I disclosed an injury and told them I have an FMLA on file. They (management and HR) are now pressuring me to disclose the reason for my current FMLA, which is a violation of their own policy.

The FMLA on file is nonspecific because I had several issues concurrent to each other and my FMLA was denied multiple times because my manager stated they didn’t have necessary notice (for acute illnesses). The reason my doctor wrote it this way was to avoid future problems. It’s complex in nature, and I’m happy to obtain another LOA, but I don’t like the fact they’re wanting to know what my current FMLA is for.
