As a kid I used to play tournament chess. This is a great activity for kids -- meeting other kids and adults and in fact learning at a young age how to comport oneself in a polite and sportsmanlike manner when dealing with much older people.

I met people from all sorts of backgrounds and from all over the World and many of these people were exceptionally bright and interesting. However, this was my first exposure to racism coming from members of a minority.

I naively (I was still a young teenager) assumed that if one was the victim of racism (or believed that you were) this would make very sensitive to the racism and you would certainly avoid behaving in a racist manner oneself.

Of course, this idea turns out to be nonsense and what I overheard was a group of Black players discussing the idea of forming a chess federation for only that ethnicity -- like the old Negro Leagues in baseball except it would be voluntary. One, a very weak player, said, "We don't need those guys."

That is nothing compared to this terrible OP genocide post but the same terrible concept -- not just racism but the idea that it is a good thing as long as the racist is not White. I am going out on a limb here but maybe because I am not White myself but I want to say this: If you are a racist member of a minority that has been oppressed by racists, stop being racist yourself for the love of God. Please. If this continues I will have no alternative but to call you a racist idiot. I hope that stings.
