Is this even controversial?

I consider it a neurotype and a disability

I just don’t consider it a disorder, because having a disorder implies that there is something wrong, which there isn’t.

Disabilities are only disabilities because society is not made for them. Humans don’t have a ton of abilities and we accommodate for them effectively.

We can’t fly? Make rockets and planes. We can’t see really far away/microscopic stuff? Create telescopes and microscopes. Unable to sleep with constant noise? Make it illegal to make noise in neighborhoods. Can’t travel fast? Make cars/trains/etc. Humans accommodate for themselves all the time. The only time a need for accommodation becomes a disability is when you need different or more accommodations than the average person

Think about this: a person with both legs of full length is disabled in a society made for people without legs
