I agree, he’s more likely to just not attempt any shots or not play any defense. If he’s insistent about being traded, then he’s probably gonna choose to do something super obvious, so that people know he’s screwing up on purpose. Another option would be for Simmons to just refuse to pass the ball to Embiid. I can’t imagine that shit doesn’t hit the fan, if Simmons goes a whole game without passing Embiid the ball.

It’s easy to say that the Sixers hold all the leverage, just because Simmons is under contract, but that’s not really true. If Simmons has proven one thing in the league, it’s that he’s stubborn as shit and cave to other people demands. His contract may require him to play games, but it doesn’t require him to try to win games. The 76ers are playing with fire if they go into the season with Simmons still on the roster.
