Have you ever insta-quit a campaign or game session? What happened?

Yup.

Was playing a halfling sorcerer, and it was my first tabletop group. Only female of the group, too, both in character and real life. This becomes important later....

Campaign had been going on a while. We got captured by pirates out at sea. The DM let slip (and by 'let slip' I mean more like 'gleefully told of us impending horrors to come') that he was planning on tormenting each party member in specific, tailor made ways.

The LG paladin was going to be put into gladiatorial arenas and be forced to fight to the death against innocent and painfully obviously inferior combatants. If he refused, they'd be killed anyways. Either way, his action or inaction would cause their deaths.

That was the only other 'tailor made terror' that was even gotten to. Mine was second to be described. Sorcerers gain their arcane powers through peculiar magical bloodlines, right? Well... my little halfling sorcerer was going to be systematically raped and impregnated by different things to experiment with creating more potent magical bloodlines.

Guys. I. Lost. My. Fucking. Shit.

I suicide my halfling off the edge of the boat on the spot, quit the game, and left to go home on the spot. No argument, no trying to persuade the DM out of it or try to come up with ways to thwart it happening before it does or anything. Just straight up "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! NO. JUST. NO. NO, NO, NO, NO, NO! I'm done. I'm out. Suiciding my halfling via jumping overboard and letting the sea do the rest. I'm done."

The other PLAYERS had the gall to call me the next day and bitch and complain about how I totally just ruined the entire game and ended it for everyone because I 'couldn't tell the difference between fantasy and reality' and it wasn't a big deal at all for my character to be forcefully raped and impregnated. Even though they all knew, including the DM, that exactly that type of scenario would be the definition of my worst nightmare and I would with GREAT determination and ingenuity kill myself if ever placed in such a situation in real life.

Seriously, years later my husband and I have an agreement that should some type of scenario happen where I'm about to be raped and there is nothing he can do to stop it... he is to kill me before it can happen if I am unable to do so myself. Its that fucking big a deal and serious to me.
