Have you ever witnessed a wedding objection? What was it like?

When I was a kid we went to a friend of my family's wedding where the adults found out it was dry as they walked in the door. The bride was a born again Christian and had converted the groom (who we were related to).

I had spent all fucking day asking for a cherry coke but my parents said I drank too many and had told my extended family that I could not have any soda at all. At one point I sat at the table after running around in circles all over and I was kicking my legs under the table and heard the clink of bottles. I, loudly, said "What's under here?!" and started to lift up the very long tablecloth. My dad scooped me up and said,"Do you want a cherry coke?"

My dad and uncle had gone out and snuck in some beer, wine, and a bottle of whiskey in there and hid it under the table.
