Every time a person from China stays with me on AirBnb, They leave me a bad review. Can someone please explain why? [Details inside.]

Most reasonable comment I found in this thread. Nice to stray away from example after example of Chinese people doing inappropriate things, as if single examples mean anything.

I really do agree with you that there are cultural differences even within the country. I've studied in Shanghai and my experience there is that people complimented my horrible Chinese just about every single time I practiced it a bit. Incidentally, they were extremely friendly and without a doubt the nicest people in the world, in a genuine way.

I've experienced drastic differences too. The environment changes quickly between a university full of educated and tender people and, say, where I'd get off the train at Suzhou and have older, uneducated folks rattling me to get me to sign up for entrance into all the biggest parks and gardens (which are beautiful by the way).

I've seen pooping outside once during my 170 days exploring, and it was off to the side in an area that pedestrians are distanced from, and my friends all agreed that it was strange.

My experience is that they are just as kind here in Toronto.

If I'm to comment about the OP's issue, I'd have to ask about their sample size. This might just be a case of noticing patterns before they've become significant.

If not, it might be that they are comparing the experience to China. Big cities (which are the ones that tourists would likely come from) have amazing transportation. Pretty much anywhere is near a train station, especially if you're paying a lot. Rent and food is super cheap. Even in Shanghai where I lived, I had an extremely economical living arrangement and it was not far from two different train stations, as well as the biggest university campus in the city. As they are paying more for living when abroad, they might be expecting something like a 5-star hotel in a super connected area.
