Rapes have nothing to do with a woman's clothes; Elderly women and children who are raped are not 'asking for it' either: Niramala Sitharaman, India's first full-time woman Defence Minister

That's bullshit. Around a fucked up mind, anything can be a reason. So don't spread stupidty because you've confused precautions to victim blaming. Walk around in a revealing outfit in an alley that you need to get to in order to go home, which is also littered by drunk drug addicted vagrants. You just gave them a reason to rape you. You stood out in a situation and location that reminds no one of laws. Was that your fault? Hell fucking no. Were they right in the rape? Fuck no, but how much control do you have over an individual that can overpower you shall he act on it? Dont wear revealing clothes because you'll stand out. Blend in. Be with company in your walks. Find someone/organization/etc you can truly trust to escape to. Preserve evidence. Even with all of that there's still a chance. It's not simple as telling men not to rape because civilization demands it. There are inner codings and primitive natures that people cannot suppress nor overcome and for the sake of civilization those people need to be exiled out. Each case should be treated individually and not lump it into one vague category that confuses everyone with its unorganized nature due to emotional tatrums at every turn in the need to fill in gaps not known, nor experieced, nor fully understood, but rather a desire to achieve what should be in front of a phenomenon bigger than everyone of us. So we yell at it instead of looking for a solution to tame it, hoping it can finally hear, because this time the yell is louder. But being too sensitive to victim blaming will get no one anywhere.
