People staying at home still need to do basic functions. Shop for groceries. Go to essential work. Maybe even go to the hospital. The risk of spread cannot be reduced to zero.

People ignoring stay at home orders are increasing the spread of the virus. They are exposing more essential workers. They are making grocery stores more hazardous. If they get sick they put extra strain on already strained health care, including possibly infecting more health care workers.
