i think plts just fucked up anti-competitive cartel practice. got to ask yourself who are the gatekeepers, and who are the rentseekers and whose paying the rent to go through the gate?

ur an abc journo. smartest one of the bunch. u can figure it out. hint: plt teaches u nothing and is just so law society can justify its existance. law society does nothing for lawyers just a parasitic organisation much like student politics. student politicians become law society members okay? its interposed capital/worker relationship between law society/lawyers and bar society/barristers. what good does it do solo practitioner in mt druit or springvale or coolaroo to have a law society with famous QC having nice lunch with AG? none at all but he needs to pay his tithe to the person having Nice Lunch at australia club each day and it raises prices for the common people. need a bail application or to make your will? well u pay the lawyer $400 an hour. 40 to gst. 300 to law society. lawyer only keeps 60 bucks and he can barely afford to buy 11 standard drinks later the day coz of alcopops tax as well.
