I'm not blaming anyone. I know that cops have to follow protocol. I live in a town of 100k people. I know people who know the guys who did this. There are at most 2-3 degrees of separation between anyone in my town. If they find out my name or what I look like, there's a decent chance they'll be able to find out where I work. There's a decent chance I could come across one of them when I'm walking down the street, or out socialising with friends. These were scary guys, who became very violent for basically no reason. I just can't risk getting majorly fucked up by them sometime in the future. If i pressed charges, for my own peace of mind I would have to move out of the town I have lived in for basically my whole life. Which I guess I'm not willing to do.
