Consider this: that friendship between those two men will probably last longer than your own relationship with one of them, statistically. This is just statistically true, but not always true. Friendships are more valuable than relationships, on average. I’m not sure what I would do, but you need to weigh the possibility that you will destroy that friendship.

These folks are young. You are young. This shit is gonna happen. I bet that one day he will look back on what he did with regret and embarrassment.

It’s rare, but there is a time and a place for dishonesty—or at least omitting certain details. People who pretend that this is a simple black-and-white situation probably mean well, but haven’t thought it through. It is complicated, and I’m not surprised to see so many posts like this one on this thread.
