Farage: The Younger Generation Screaming Fascist Have Become Fascist Themselves

Thanks for the history lesson but I don't think re-labelling neo-liberalism as modern-liberalism changes the underlying interpersonal power dynamics that underpin all evolutions western societal structures that classical-liberalism informs us about.

Respect, or lack of, for the individual is at the heart of all these structures, past and present. Coercion exists in the forms of economic i.e. ownership, physical i.e. violence, and informational i.e. propaganda. At its heart neo-liberalism is a propagandistic coercive system that enables physical and economic coercion, as can be seen in the centralised nature and financial privilege of media and tech companies throughout the western world and their silence over western interference in developing countries economic and political affairs, as just one example.

Neo-liberalism provides the social-liberal propaganda smoke screen for the state/cartel version of capitalism we currently live under.

And I didn't say "universities owe everything to classical liberalism" and agree that these institutions represent an evolution of various ideas over the ages. But classical liberalism is clearly being threatened in these institutions by associating it with extremist ideologies such as Nazism for example, by manipulation of group identity terms such as 'alt-right', which other than being completely absurd, represents the growing narcissism that underpins the current systems interpersonal power dynamics.
