I think it's important that we listen, acknowledge, and avoid discrediting the experience that u/blitzkrieg4 shared with us.

Of course, you are right to suggest that socialization plays an integral role in the prominence of toxic masculinity in our society, but this might not be the whole story - just as biological factors are not the whole story.

It's the nature vs. nurture debate.

Acommon patriarchal narrative is that males are simply biologically inclined to violence - this narrative is used simultaneously to justify violence and to claim victimhood.

Nonetheless, I DON'T think that u/blitzkrieg4 meant to contribute to this narrative; he was only sharing his experience.
