Fifteen Million Merits vs The Waldo Moment

I'm gonna say Bing's was darker.

Both stories involve their societies going down a dark route, but in Bing's case we saw a guy who was a victim of his society, who became intensly motivated to take stand even if it meant risking his life, to becoming part of the problem when he realized it was pointless and could get a better deal. He took a stand, failed, and went down the dark path.

The guy from the Waldo Moment just wanted to pull the breaks on becoming the problem, he took a stand but he didn't put nearly as much on the line as Bing did with his, and although things didn't work out well for him you could argue he could have moved on and had a decent life regardless of what happened with Waldo, though it wouldn't be easy.
