What made me chuckle more was how he added the transformer thing as an argument. My thing is, fan reception is better than critic reviews imo because people who review games do it as a job. Every title they review won't be loved, and it's hard to objectively review a game that's outside your niche. I hate castle defense games for example so if I reviewed one im going to hate it right out the gate. Fan reception is always better to listen to because it's the actual fans the actual addicts of a gaming or other media series that's gona be enjoying the game for 100 different reasons than someone who's hated it when they review it. Hell, two different fans of the same series have 100 different reasons they both like the game that are all different from each other. What's "fun" and a success as far as something like this is on a very individual and personal basis since everyone has an opinion. I like FF XIII because I think it has a really great story, but some think it's dumb a convoluted. To each their own.
