First cheerleaders, then referees, now coaches. Bill Burr explains how women are sick of men enjoying football and having fun without them, so they're infiltrating.

Unfortunately the new Megadeth album is pretty boring.

Concur! They don't suck but pretty much all of the "big 4" is running out of steam. Megadeth and Anthrax still got some punch but they are hit or miss these days. The new Slayer is pretty badass, though their shit was shaky for a little bit.

As for that other band, who's abominable name I shall not utter, well, they haven't been a heavy metal band for decades.

These days I bang my dreads to Melechesh and Nile.

Arch Enemy (female lead singer: Angela Gossow) had a few good albums, but everyone knows they're carried by the guitarists.

Agreed, but... I have no problems with Angela as their singer. In that respect she's earned her place in the metal meritocracy. I've met her twice and she's very unassuming... She takes care of herself and didn't strike me as a cunty feminist at all.

However she has since stepped down as singer and so she could focus on executive control of the band. Her replacement, Alissa White-Gluz, isn't bad either. She was pretty badass in The Agonist. (See! A chick that actually looks good with blue hair!)

But keep in mind Arch Enemy released three albums before Angela. Since she took over management of the band... they haven't exactly jumped the shark but they don't have the same punch that they did with their previous singer. Their first album remains their finest work. These days they have better production but lack the rawness and aggression that put them on the map to begin with.
