Floor collapses injuring at least 30 people at house party at South Carolina 21 Oct, 2018

A lot of venues I’ve gone to are built on second stories i think to avoid rotting and flooding of the venue in a wet environment. The floors bounce.

For context, I broke my spine falling multiple stories through a roof.

The first time I experienced the bouncy floors I refused to walk forward until someone explained them to me and the whole night I was clinging to my boyfriend, railings, the stage, etc. After a few times I got used to it but at more intense rager moments I would still have to leave the floor a few times cause my body was just like NOOOOOOOOOOOOPE.

So seeing this clip is a tiny bit validating. Sometimes floors do in fact fail. Catastrophically.

Also being around fat people on shaky ground is also massively triggering for me. I basically refuse to be on unsteady (mostly wooden) surfaces with obese people. Sorry not sorry. Can’t help it.
