CITY HALL USES THE PE STAMP AND SIGNATURE as a quality review mandate from THE STATE AND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, these guys ARE THE DUDES THE government defers to before the government inspectors put their stamp on any reports or documents. The dude you are putting down, they are the primary filter and the government's stamp and permit? That is just rubber stamping after theirs.

In a legal battle or any kind of formal review (government oversight committee), inside a courtroom the expert witness on matters of this nature is the Professional Engineer (PE) but you dont have to take my word for it, call up city hall and call up your state capitol, ask your senator "who are these weirdos and assholes"?

The government not only answers to these guys, they are the ones who get government officials fired when it pertains to technology, facilities, factories and systems designed and operating under regulatory requirements. Of course if they fuck up, they are just as liable as anyone.
