Stop spreading this myth. image hosting sites commonly linked to reddit compress images. Reddit ITSELF does NOT compress images. If an image is compressed, then it was compressed before upload.

Download an image, then upload it to reddit and compare it to the original. The website that I usually use to compare compression artifacts is currently under maintenance, but using photoshop to look at pixels on any given spot of an image, or using blending diffrence mode to highlight differences compared to the copy that I uploaded DIRECTLY TO REDDIT (not imgur or twitter or some other hosting service) shows that there's 0 diffrence between the original and the reddit upload
