For the non religious Arabs, what is your opinion in regards of Muhammad?

Inheritance

Yes, women get lower inheritance. There is a very easy answer here and that is because they are not financially responsible for themselves. It is so easy to de-contextualise things, something terrorists and Islamophobes have in common.

Let's say there is a family of three, a man, and his son and daughter. When he dies, the son gets double the inheritance than the daughter. But the son is financially responsible for his sister now just the way his father was, so the money he got has to spent on both of them and him shirking on this duty is sinful. That is a pretty big damn responsibility on the son, where he is accountable to Islamic law and to Allah for the money he got. The money the daughter got has nothing attached to it and she is free to spend it wherever she wants.

This is what Islam is about. Islam puts responsibilities on members of society while the Western world has none. Look at that scenario. Islam made it so that everyone in that situation was taken care of or had a job. The daughter is taken care of by her brother (he is obligated to), and the son is given a job to take care of his sister. Islam makes this OBLIGATORY. The family ties are maintained through this obligation, and everyone has someone to look after, or someone to take care of them.

In a typical Western scenario, they would both be given equal share and that would be it. Whether they want to maintain familial ties is up to them. What if the daughter cannot work, or does not know how to? She would have to ask her brother to finance her, and he would not be obligated to. He could just leave, or he could use her need (and desperation for it) for his own benefit.

Hijab

As mentioned earlier:

What men and women wear in Islam is dictated by Allah, and no one else can change that. Both sexes have hijab, but what the hijab constitutes is different. For men, it is from the navel to the knees, and for women, it is everything except the hands, feet and face. There is a difference here because there is a difference in the sexes, and how they view each other's bodies. From our perspective, the female body is inherently one of the most sexually arousing aspect a woman has. A male body is not as much in the eyes of women, as other aspects of men are considered when thinking about in sexual terms before their physical bodies (but they are considered too of course, just not to the same degree). The important thing here is that Islamic law places restrictions and doesn't give freedoms, which means that both sexes don't have to compete to dominate each other in this aspect. What is there is by Allah, and men cannot change that even if they wanted to have women wear less clothes.

Here's additional stuff about something I mentioned about sexualisation of women in the West, and how hijab removed that. I will copy-paste it below:

I don't know how someone can even make the argument that women are not incredibly sexualised in Western culture, in complete contrast to Islam.

Advertisements are based on exploitation of the female body. There is so much music that sexualises women. Most clothing for women is specifically marketed to make them look sexy. Television and movies sexualise women. College culture sexualises women.

99.99% of the pornography is created for men. It demeans, degrades and objectifies women to an extreme degree, yet it is still allowed. It used to be considered very immoral but even that is getting reduced with more and more people being fine with watching porn.

Women may have been given the freedom to wear what they want in those societies, but make no mistake, it is men that dictate exactly what they wear (more and more revealing clothes). Then people will tell you how they have a different level of modesty which is bollocks. The freedom is given so that what men want can be masked and implemented without any problems.

The problem people have is when women want to cover their body, to not get enslaved by the depravity condoned by irreligious societies. It is clearly obvious the male body is not viewed in the same sexual way by women, as the female body is viewed by men. Western society itself is the biggest indicator of this.

The value given to the sexual aspect of women is infinitely higher than anything else they can give, which is what Islam tries to nullify by de-sexualising women. The hijab is supposed to bring a level of modesty and shame to both men and women. It is different for women because their bodies are different.

On the one hand you might have a woman with her tits almost hanging out, her ass in a tight jeans, and on the other you have one who has clothing loosely worn around her entire body. Which one is more sexually arousing? The one with her body visible of course. What does that do? It makes any interaction with that person you are about to have, have a sexual undertone to it. That is something undeniable. You can suppress it because it might be inappropriate to express it, but it will affect how you interact and view women.

This is what women mean when they say they are free when they are clothed. They are free from that agenda and motive men face by nature, which is to think about women in a sexual manner since they find female bodies attractive. When you cover up, you are denying that pleasure to men and are bringing the interaction to a base level, not letting sex play a part in how you perceive and work with each other. It removes that aspect completely and makes everything innocent between two people because there isn't much room left for those thoughts. This is freedom.

You will also have some people who try to shift this responsibility completely on men in a facetious way. They'll tell you how you shouldn't be looking at women if they are wearing revealing clothes. Fair enough, we are obligated to do that as men. But the damn responsibility is on both men and women to lower their gaze, and to cover their bodies. It is not one sided. How can you talk to a person when their goods are hanging out in front of you? It is impossible to not let that have some effect on your psyche.

How are men dictating what women should wear and how women should be when secular law gives them freedom?

It is because whenever women are degraded, objectified and sexualised, that thing becomes successful. Advertisements that are more sexual are always more effective. The women men will tell you they are attracted to (models, actresses etc.), will often be the ones that are most openly sexual. This is all reinforcing what men want by nature.

Look at pornography. If the female body was not of this nature, it would not be this huge of an industry (it is colossal). Why is it being run? Because men want it to run by watching it. There is an immense amount of porn available now and even TV shows and movies are becoming more and more sexual. Look at the clothing and see how that has changed in the last few years. Even 14-16 year-old teenagers have clothes that are revealing and that is disgusting. So why do women buy them? Because when they wear those clothes, they get much, much more male attention. Sure, women will tell you they don't care about dressing for men but that is just not true. You may not consider what men will think when you both clothes, but your mind will like the ones that society promotes (i.e. the more revealing the better).

This is not even limited to the West, as porn is watched quite a lot in the Muslim world as well. This points to it being an inherent problem with how men want to watch women like this. They simply do. Islam tries to bring self-control by forbidding such depravity and commanding its adherents to avoid it. Irreligion lets it run rampant. This is so harmful to women. Freedom is an illusion and an avenue used for this purpose.

On a final note, in Western society, men dictate what women wear. In Islam, Allah dictates what women wear.
