Former atheists of Reddit, what made you turn to religion?

I know that people won't believe this story but here we go: I was always an avid atheist, never believed anything related to god since there was no proof and all the talk about "faith" being the same thing as believing without proof sounded like a scam to me. BUT everything changed to me some time ago, when I was passing in front of a church, the priest at the door pointed at me, and I froze on the spot and then looked behind me to confirm if he was really talking to me. With a simple hand gesture he called me inside the church and I followed him to the center of the altar, the church was empty, I didn't understand what was going on. He whispered in my ear that he was about to show me something that would change my life and I asked him "are you serious about this?" and he again came to my ear and whispered "I don't know, there's no serious tag".
