It's definitely going to take a while to get used to and I'm not sure if I'll keep it on or move it to a long gun.

I couldn't justify the $$ for the rmr for something that may just get used only at the range and I got this holosun for $210 out the door from PSA so it was a great deal. if I was going to 100% carry and edc a dot, I'd pony up for the rmr. The holosun is no slouch by any means, but if your life potential depends on it, I'd get the gold standard. Same reason I have aimpoints on my house ARs.

The holosun is still pretty beefy and solid - I have no issues manipulating the slide with the housing. I love the eotech style dot and which this was a standard option on all red dots - it is astigmatism proof!
