Gallagher in the England squad is a joke.

Gallagher?

I don't know how "big" (like a "big name"?) you need to be for England if you can do a job. He could do a job if they utilise his abilities.

He seems he could be best at playing a sort of advanced pressing/supporting attacking role. Pressing, tackling and goalscoring seem to be his current best performing areas. His passing and creation performance seems quite low compared to other players.

You could use him if you want to be more on the front foot and sit back less. Rather than having a holding midfielder whose main duty is to break up play, with another alongside them, or two people just in front in a triangle, like a 4123, or or a 4231 etc, you could get rid of that holding midfielder and play two midfield players who are more adept at moving the ball forward and maintaining possession in the opposition's half, such as Henderson, Mount, let Phillips play with more freedom, or even Bellingham if they feel like going for it, and then play Gallagher in front of them to press high and make space for those two other midfielders.
