He hates me

You don't have to put up with this and I'm not sure if you realize just how much damage this dude can do to you. Telling yourself all these lies that he's right IS self harm. Take your keys back, get a grip on the truth, and lock up your shit. Do whatever you need to do. Trust me I've been in a similar situation and you don't want to lose everything. Just because you feel bad RIGHT NOW isn't a reason to play games with your life.

As far as being unemployed, because a lot of people are unemployed for many reasons that are often like, really legit, honestly this is not the point to get hung up on in my opinion. Generally trying to change him isn't the point. Like someone else said, you're not seeing that 25k back. It's a loss and it's a lesson and honestly it's a warning. Like, regardless of feelings, regardless of being RIGHT or winning an argument - is this dude actually making your life that bad? Because objectively then you really need to get back control of your life. And yeah. Sometimes that has to be done quietly, but it's a different quiet than the kind that ridicules you. It's an empowering silence.

That said I really ho
