why is gender critical feminism considered hateful?

I didn't answer the original question. Gender critical feminism in and of itself, I'm not sure is hateful. Being critical is not a bad thing. But the communities that surround it do carry some angry energy.

Are there angry women on GC? Yeah, there's angry people everywhere.

That angry energy attracts other angry people and soon a critical mass of angry people stirring each other up can push the whole community further to the extreme.

This isn't really a GC issue it happens to any isolated group. That's why even as a lefty feel good kombya type person, I bristle at trigger warnings, no platforming, and other such things on campuses. Not that those things aren't legitimate to a certain extent but they can make environments where like minded folks turn off their critical thinking, because everyone agrees with them. Soon the extreme voices dominate.

That's why I liked the idea of this sub so much. I think GC feminists here should try to encourage Trans participation as much as they can. Without it you risk creating a sub where you essentially talk to yourself. Which will kill this thing.

I went to the GC main sub, and while there is some things to talk about it's really scary for someone like me. I wouldn't feel comfortable there. And not just because of muh fee fees. But because there's no way I'll be able to get a word in. I'd feel completely shut out. Their anger would be directed at me or trans people.
