(German) Test Lenovo ThinkPad P51s (Core i7, 4k) Workstation

The superb panels in Dell and Acer stuff, not to mention Apple, fondle a 1500 contrast ratio.

It's the brightness level on the p51s that gets me. I know at 250 nits is barely usable in bright light, even bright indoor light, and practically useless outdoors even in the shade.

Why can't Lenovo keep up with the competition in the display area? Why are most of their models behind their peers in normal features as well, like NVME adoption, for one.

Their treatment of Thinkpad's reminds me of how they've taken the brilliant simplicity of the 3-model Motorola smartphone lineup and turned it into a parade of more and more models. There does not need to be so many Thinkpad models; could that be why so many are tech hillbiliies, behind their peers?

But, really, the displays: why can they not just plop 100% RGB and 300+ nits into everything? Why not go even better on their top models, like the X1 and Pxx models? Dell can do it; Apple, of course, can do it; even Acer can do it -- da heck cant Lenovo keep up??
