Ghostbusters review - Sexism?

Can it be a little of both, because like most I have found nothing redeeming about this movie from the bits that have come my way since it was ever mentioned. But, I'm happy and hoping to be proven that it was all just a big misunderstanding. I'm also not convinced that the positive reviews are by people who aren't so invested in this being perceived as a good movie that nothing would have stopped them from trying to give it positive marks no matter how the movie turned-out.

Some of the reviews I've seen have been heavily qualified reviews... in the vein of how you have to not expect much from Transformers to enjoy it for what it is. Qualifying every positive remark about a movie indicates a not-very-good movie.

Since I haven't seen this new GB yet I'm suspecting that all the drama surrounding it was probably more entertaining than the movie itself. I think this movie will be the hill that some folks have chosen to lose the battle on.

P.s. I liked Transformers just fine, so there's that.
