As Amy Dunne progresses throughout the movie, her hair goes from long and flowing to pixie cut short
She once wore it long for Nick. By the end of the movie, she no longer cares about him, and so no longer wears it long.
This represents that she loses her sanity gradually throughout the film, and changes from being the loving wife Amy Dunne, to her dormant alter ego as Amazing Amy
DRESS
