Govt plans to add Ayurveda education into MBBS program.

I am not saying that we should go blindly for Ayurved, but for thousands of years humans have been using it for treatment, many worked and many didn't. There are courses in Ayurved but best brains go to MBBS. If MBBS students study it, they might be curious and can use it in research.

A molecule is a molecule, either you manufacture it, if you know how to, or you simply extract it from plants, if it is available. I give a good example of Cocillana. It is extracted from the plant and used in cough medicine. It worked wonderfully in stopping coughing. There are many antihistamine medicines, but Cocillana is 'equally' effective. This knowledge was preserved from hundreds of years in tribes and now used by drug companies. Wouldn't it be better if we invest more in finding the knowledge in our culture and use it for drug development.

Now a days weed is used in pain management, if you say it is bullshit, then you ask those who tried it.

I am in favor of letting student study it rather than discarding it totally.
