The criticism of Wildturtle is somewhat justifiable, but really unfair. People have been basing their opinion of Wildturtle almost entirely on his performance during the S4 split with Gleeb, and less than 1 month with Lustboy.

For starters, WT went from playing with Xpecial, the strongest support in NA to Gleeb. Based on Gleeb's performance with Fusion, he was probably worse and at best the same level in TSM. A downgrade of that proportion is bound to worsen an adc's performance when supports dictate so much of what happens in lane and are vital to the survivability and success of an adc through entire games. With only 1 month before the end of the split, WT had to switch support from Gleeb to Lustboy. Too short of a time to enable great synergy and show dominance, but they still performed decently and didn't hold TSM back by any margin.

It's noticeable how a dip in Turtle's performance shown the instant he switched from Xpecial to Gleeb. But at the pace of improvement by which Turtle picked up after playing with Lustboy, it is highly unlikely that Turtle "fell off" by any size-able proportion and was rather held back with Gleeb more or less.

At playoffs and Worlds, and after some time with Lustboy, Wildturtle played extremely well, performing spectacularly at both events. He played an important role in helping TSM win NA LCS and he performs decently at worlds. Despite TSM's unsurprising defeat to SSW, Wildturtle still had the *most damage dealt to champions per minute in terms of Western ADCs. * More than that of Rekkles or Sneaky.

Overall, Wildturtle had probably the least amount of time played with Lustboy at LAN events than any other adcs with their support. And he has played exceptionally well during that time frame despite it being disregarded by so many people. Rekkles has also mentioned that he respects and considers Turtle & Lustboy to be his toughest opponents. Sneaky has played with Lemon for what, coming off 2 seasons now? And Doublelift has had his fair share of time playing with Aphromoo. If anything, Turtle & Lustboy are on track to doing just as well if not better than their western counterparts.
