GPU Diagnostic/Repair

All good. I had scrounged together a build for my nephew's birthday. Unfortunately, he's parents are, politely speaking, not technically inclined, so I sent the thing as a pre-built unit against my better judgement. I recycled some pre-built packaging I had laying around, so the GPU was supported by styrofoam between the PSU shroud when standing "upright", but UPS still managed to tweak it.

For completeness, it's an RX 580 with a single-screw through supporting the IO plate. I am guessing it was dropped and torqued, because I had to get a technician there locally, and he found a "loose screw and dead gpu," and when I got the stuff back, it was indeed a screw from the GPU which was holding the IO plate in place.

The card won't post with HDMI/DP connected; it will post with DVI, however, the signal is the typical space-invaders during bios and vertical lines once windows kicks in. I'm guessing some of the memory may have broke free during the flex, and also perhaps something is amiss in the output logic.

There are no shorts, nothing obviously damaged, and the rail resistances and such seem to match what I can find, but I'm not equipped to go further than that. So I figure it's likely/hopefully a quick reflow job, and maybe something additional with the output stuff.

I too would typically not bother with a repair, but finding something equivalent so can "fortnight with his buddies" is a bit of a struggle currently.
