Groups target anti-abortion, LGBT bills

I usually don't enjoy conversations with people who start conversations with emotionally loaded terms, such as Liberals or Zionists. It is a tip-off that they've got way too much invested in an extreme view.

Still, I would imagine the reason why they get upset is because they don't like seeing powerful discrimination actually codified into law. I'm sure that there is some irony in that which you can point out. Don't know. I haven't given it much thought.

I have noted that religious zealots in America who call for special rights almost always overlook that there are other religions besides their own. (See: Ten Commandments on the State Capital.) So when they call for the protected power of religious discrimination, they forget that they're handing that same weapon to other religious groups, too. Things already seem to cut in unexpected ways.

Still, the best answer is probably what we have now. Armistice. I don't think there is any need to give people any special legal powers of discrimination. No matter who is wielding the knife, it brings us all down.

I agree with your side note. If someone tips their hand that they're batshit crazy, I think they'd actually be doing me a favor. I'd prefer to work with a professional for anything that mattered to me. I'm with you.
